Pepper, 2005Fort Harrington's chicken compound was attacked by a raccoon on Thanksgiving Day, 2007. Of the eleven birds, Pepper was the only fatality. The incident will be recounted in more detail later, but I thought Pepper should have her own post now.

Oh dear. You know there has to be a drawback to living with all that nature. Poor Pep!
Blast! So sorry about Pepper. Raccoons have caused so much destruction around here, their alleged charm has long since worn off.
