I think I'm going to sleep in this sweatshirt tonight. (Photo by Diane; baseball from 1962.)When I arrived home after my night class tonight, I found this waiting for me in a package from Adam. His note said that this blog entry about my early experiences with baseball and my one season (1964) pitching for the Norwich High School team inspired him to get this sweatshirt for me (and another one of different design for him.) You know, it's really not all that hard to laugh and cry at the same time.
So two blog entries in a row end with this: Thank you, Adam. This is just outstanding; it's even color coordinated with my beard!

Hello all, Ft. Jr. here with my very first comment on my dad's blog! I've been an avid subscriber for some time now.
Dad sat down this weekend and taught his tech-dyslexic son how to do so.
He may regret it, as my first order of business on SherWords is to rally the troops to try and talk dad into getting something published.
As many of you are aware, I am a voice-over artist, with an agent.
Well...Stars The Agency also happens to have a literary rep. I've already got my youngest niece Kiana representation as an infant model. (Don't worry stage-uncle watchdogs, my sister plans to yank her outta there after a year or so)
Why not a trifecta?
Dad, I'm not saying this as a son, I'm saying it as a reader. You've got a gift. You should at least attempt to share it with more than we few SherWords fans.
